Dear Students,

BHK (Safety and Health Education Training)

We're happy to see that all our first-year students have passed the BHK test! It was not graded - you could only pass or fail it, so it is not included in your GPA.

Wielka Orkiestra Świątecznej Pomocy (Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity)

Wielka Orkiestra Świątecznej Pomocy, which can be translated as the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity, but usually known as WOŚP, is the biggest charity NGO in Poland. Each year since 1993, it organizes a national public fundraising charity event known as The Grand Finale (Wielki Finał), which usually takes place on Sunday in the first half of January. The focus of the event is to support Poland's healthcare system by buying world-class medical equipment and support pediatric and geriatric wards.

This year WOŚP's Grand Finale will take place on January 12th and will focus on pediatric interventional medicine. There will be numerous public events that day with certified volunteers collecting money from donors to their signature cans. For each donation, you will receive WOŚP's heart sticker, which is the logo of the NGO and the symbol of the event.

To find the event you might be interested in visit and type "Kraków" as the indicator of the city you're interested in. This is the central event of Kraków's WOŚP: Traditionally, at 8:00 pm, there will be "Światełko do nieba" - "A Light to the Sky", a fireworks show (or a laser show), during which all participants are encouraged to bring sparklers (hand-held fireworks).

Meanwhile, good luck on your final exams and we hope you'll have a great 2020!
